A particularly rainy night passed without incident thanks to early preparation, the dedication of municipal employees, and the full cooperation of all parties.

Tonight, we experienced one of the most challenging nights of rain we have ever experienced in Ashdod, with two bouts of heavy precipitation and unusual amounts of rain. Early preparation and full deployment of forces, in accordance with the Level 3 declared even before the storm, made it possible to prevent flooding in vulnerable locations throughout the city, and with it the potential damage that would have accompanied it.

Throughout the night, the supervision, policing, security, emergency response centers, and district administration teams worked around the clock, cleaning up receptors, conducting patrols, and responding quickly to inquiries. Thanks to the professional work and commitment on the ground, the night passed without any unusual incidents or danger to human life.

This morning we continue to be on alert at level 3, monitoring the forecasts and continuing to prepare accordingly to maintain the safety of the residency and residents.
